Our Zambian subsidiary recently completed a project for Barloworld Equipment Zambia Limited related to their new earth-moving equipment rental operation.
The client required a functional office with a number of elements to be delivered and installed in Solwezi along the Kanshanshi Mine road, with the main challenge being to incorporate a number of specific aspects of a fully-functional office into a limited space.
The project was based on an innovative engineering and design product using 2 x 40Ft steel containers to house the fully-functional new site set-up with all amenities required for the comprehensive office solution fitted within a 59.6m2 space.
The completed office included the following rooms and features to comfortably accommodate the staff of Barloworld’s new earth-moving equipment rental business:
1 x 6-seater open-plan Sales Office
1 x Site Manager’s Office
1 x 6-seater Meeting Room
1 x Kitchenette for the office staff
1 x Partitioned Male and Female Toilets
1 x Spares Exhibition Room
With all of these rooms and sections catered for, the Barloworld staff are able to work productively, engage in meetings, have access to the restrooms and kitchen facilities, and display the necessary spare parts to visiting customers.
Incredibly, this office was delivered and installed within only two weeks from the initial contact to commissioning, and the client was extremely happy to be up and running in such a short lead time while Speedspace delivered the solution within the agreed-upon budget.
