One such example is this large staff canteen facility that we designed and constructed for Montego Pet Nutrition a few years ago.
Speedspace was entrusted with the design, supply and construction of a new staff canteen facility measuring approximately 590sqm at their head office and factory in Graaff-Reinet in the heart of the Karoo.
The new facility was designed and constructed using a steel portal frame structure made up of 9 x 40′ insulated shipping containers. This created the outer perimeter facilities with a spacious seating area, gaming and deck area, full kitchen area, tuck shop and ablution facilities.
Due to the size and scale of the project, which took six months to complete from design to handover, resources from both our Johannesburg and Port Elizabeth offices were leveraged to ensure successful completion.
This made all the difference, with our expert teams on the ground coordinating with our specialists across the country to produce an exceptional double-storey space management solution for Montego’s staff canteen.
Our design team used high-level planning and design resources to create a double-storey canteen that includes a fully-functional staff kitchen, plenty of space for tables and chairs, the capability to serve staff outside of the actual building, multiple entrances and an upper loft level to maximise the use of space in the building.
