Space Management Solutions in Zambia

The world’s largest and most established firms trust Speedspace to provide the local expertise and resources necessary to design and deliver space management solutions throughout Africa.

An example of this is Vivo Energy, a company that distributes and markets Shell and Engen branded fuels and lubricants to retail and commercial customers in Africa. Vivo Energy operates and markets its products in countries across North, West, East and Southern Africa, with a network of over 2,000 service stations in 23 countries operating under the Shell and Engen brands.

The company’s vision is to become the most respected energy business in Africa. As part of that long-term vision, they have embarked on a massive infrastructure upgrade in Zambia focused on refurbishing and modernising all of the brand’s old service stations while constructing new and state-of-the-art service stations in the country.

With that in mind, Vivo partnered with Speedspace’s Zambian subsidiary, Ufudu Zambia to provide numerous modular building and other space management solutions to be used as site offices, ablution and change room facilities, both on a rental and sales basis.

Our first project for Vivo Energy involved a unit for their Nchelenge site which was a great success, thanks to our unbelievably short manufacturing and delivery lead times and the quality of our innovative units, prompting a commitment from the brand to continue our partnership as they refurbish their network of service stations in Zambia.

An extension of the original deal saw us supply Vivo Energy with two units under a year-long lease at their Northmead service station along Makishi Road in Lusaka. The two units are being used as operations facilities as they upgrade their office/Quick Shop facility at the service station. Through our Zambian subsidiary, we look forward to working together with Vivo Energy in the coming months and years to enable their ambitious infrastructure upgrade efforts.
