Insulated Converted Containers

Insulated Converted Containers

The COVID-19 pandemic is a global problem that is affecting all nations, including South Africa and its neighbouring countries.

Speedspace is determined to assist the private and public sectors in the countries in which we operate by doing what we do best — designing and delivering exceptional space management solutions that overcome the challenges faced by our clients.

In this case, a mining client in Botswana — one of a number of countries where our products are highly valued — required storage units that could be produced for the storage of COVID-19 related personal protective equipment (PPE) to keep the miners safe.

Mining is a sector that requires workers to be in close proximity, increasing the potential risk of infection, but sufficient PPE mitigates that risk and allows for mining operations to continue.

In these images, Speedspace built insulated converted containers to deliver to the mine in Botswana.

The larger converted containers will be used to store PPE while the smaller converted containers have also been designed for storage purposes, allowing operators to separate tools for mine workers in order to further prevent the spread of the virus and adhere to the highest of safety standards.
